Shopify integration

Installation Salesfire for Shopify

Follow the below steps to guide you through installing the Salesfire plugin via your Shopify app store. 

Note: Please ensure any existing Salesfire integration scripts such as the main script, product page view event or checkout success script are removed from the site prior to installing the new plugin or we risk duplicating tracking data.

  1. Head to the Shopify App Store: Salesfire CRO Tools page.
  2. Click the Add app button.
  3. You will then be directed to the next page, click the Install app button located in the top right of the page.
  4. This will take you to the Salesfire bridge dashboard creation page.
  5. From here, there are two options:

If you have an existing Salesfire dashboard

Click the I already have an existing site option.

  1. You will then be asked to log in using your Salesfire dashboard credentials.

  2. When signed in to the Salesfire dashboard, the bridge will automatically integrate Salesfire into your Shopify store including:
  • Salesfire tools
  • Product page view tracking
  • Order event tracking

3. Once complete you’re ready to use the dashboard.

If you do not have an existing Salesfire dashboard
  1. Enter your website name to create an account to link to your Shopify store.
  2. You will then be signed in to the Salesfire dashboard and the Shopify integration will begin to pull through:
  • Salesfire tools
  • Product page view tracking
  • Order event tracking

    Once complete you’re ready to use the dashboard. See the Connecting and importing your Product Feed section for product feed integration.

Connecting a new dashboard when an existing dashboard exists

To unlink any duplicated/additional dashboards added in error. The bridge created in the Shopify app will need to be removed and then the existing dashboard you wish to connect with Salesfire will then need to be connected following the Connecting an existing dashboard guidance.

Shopify Plus

For Shopify Plus users, the above steps can be replicated to integrate Salesfire onto your Shopify Plus store.

Please note, for Shopify and Shopify Plus accounts the Salesfire script is removed from the checkout and payment page, preventing the ability to reveal any Salesfire products. This does not effect the checkout success page where order tracking is processed.

Connecting and importing your Product Feed

Now all settings are in place, if your Product Feed is required for some of the Salesfire tools. Follow these steps:

  1. In your Salesfire Dashboard go to Settings and then go to Product Catalogue. 
  2. Ensure from the dropdown menu that Shopify Feed is selected. 

In the Shopify Store URL field enter your ‘My Shopify’ URL to connect your products to the Salesfire Dashboard.
